Here's why diets don't work....

So you know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when someone tells you that you CAN'T do something that you like or are used to doing?? Usually the initial feeling is to be defensive or maybe even slightly turned off to the suggestion or directive. I can definitely attest to this. When someone tells me something I can't do, I usually try to find every reason why it in fact WILL work and will come up with reasons to justify how and why it will. This is the nature of humans...ever heard "what you fight, strengthens, and what you resist persists?" This is ONE very good reason why diets don't work and why you aren't getting the results you SAY you want. We focus on the few things that we can't have and feel we can't possibly live without instead looking to incorporate new, healthy habits!! That's way too much work when we are all busy and have multiple priorities and responsibilities. But imagine this...you can create the body you want by taking small steps, practiced daily, to becoming healthy and having the body you want! It's really that simple. The question you probably have is "How in the hell do I get there??" I can show you...once you start to see the success in mastering the simple tasks of overcoming those conditioned "but I can't do that" behaviors, you'll wonder why you couldn't see the simplicity in having the body you want sooner....coming next..how to make changes that are visible, manageable, and goal oriented!
